I came away from the first night of performances by the top 12 completely blown away with Chikezie's performance. I thought he was hands down the best of the night.
My personal favorite in the competition, Kristy Lee Cook, hasn't been well received so far as is evident in her bottom two showings. I hope she's able to pick it up some with her country sound and run with it.
I'm not too fond of them doing the Beatles theme for a second straight week. That in itself hurts an artist like Kristy Lee. Maybe she can dig one out and put a good country twist to it.
I thought David Archuleta had his first bad performance of the season. Vocally I do think that he is in a league of his own so I'm sure he'll bounce back,
